Job description

Siemens Mobility, the United States' largest passenger Rolling Stock manufacturer, is expanding its manufacturing footprint by building a $220M advanced manufacturing and rail services facility in Lexington, North Carolina, and we want you to join our team!

The facility will create 500+ jobs and be one of the city's largest employers. With the increased production capacity, we will fulfill the growing demand for passenger rail in America by producing some of the most innovative and sustainable passenger trains in the North American market and providing our customers with long-term maintenance/repair services.

We are breaking ground in August 2023 and will ramp up our hiring efforts over the next year to start production (in an innovative facility) in October 2024.   • Welders – GMAW/GTAW
  • Electrical and Mechanical Assemblers – assembling components and sub-assemblies, understanding engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

The physical demands described here are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential job duties of a Welder, Machinist, Assembler and/or Material Handler:

  • Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders
  • Frequently required to work on elevated platforms.
  • Perform work overhead
  • Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
