Job description

If you really want to make a difference – make it with us

Siemens Mobility is a separately managed company of Siemens AG and has been a leading supplier in the field of mobility for over 160 years. Our core business includes rail vehicles, rail automation and electrification solutions, turnkey systems and related services. We have always been very innovative in making traveling faster, safer and more comfortable. Today, we need new solutions to new challenges such as climate change and rising populations worldwide. That's what drives us. That's why we shape mobility with passion, always being one step ahead. Through digitalization, we make infrastructures smart and create opportunities that get us from A to B sustainably and seamlessly. Our 39,800 employees are pioneers in mobility who help to keep the world moving.

What do you contribute?

Become part of our team in the software test laboratory on the Erlangen campus. This is equipped with 60 different test benches on which safety-critical software for e.g. displays, central control units or drive control units is tested, which is later used on state-of-the-art locomotives.

  • You will be responsible for and manage the infrastructure of our software test lab (test benches, PCs, licenses, tools).
  • As part of this, you will ensure that all test benches are remote-capable, thus guaranteeing constant availability.
  • You will be responsible for the role of Asset Manager (f/m/d) of the test lab in accordance with ISO 27001, in which you will, for example, create Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and develop concepts for IT protection as well as specific IT security measures and be responsible for their implementation.
  • You will also drive forward and implement the optimization of the working environment and processes in the test lab (e.g. through automation, optimization of cable routing).
  • You will also be the contact person (f/m/d) in the event of any difficulties in the test lab (e.g. problems with the remote connection, networks, or tools).
  • You will also be responsible for occupational safety in the test lab.

What do you bring along?

  • The basis of your success is a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a comparable subject, ideally with a specialization in IT security.
  • In addition, you have several years of professional experience in the field of network technology and IT security and have already worked in a test laboratory.
  • You have expertise in the practical implementation of IT security and consequently also in the current standards (ISO 27001) and regulations.
  • Ideally, you will have good programming skills (e.g. in Python).
  • To fulfil the tasks, you will be on site in our software test laboratory for the most part!
  • As you will be working in an international environment, we require a very good command of German and English.

What do we offer you?
