As technology management within the Siemens Motion Control (MC) business unit, we evaluate new technologies regarding their benefit our future business. This involves optimization potential within existing products as well as completely new applications. Especially in the field of new applications, we evaluate the usability of new technologies in cooperation with customers and research partners. As a result, we are one of the key drivers of innovation in Motion Control and as such provide value add for our customers based on state-of-the-art technologies. More than 30 colleagues are already working in Germany to make Motion Control future-proof. To address the high importance of the Asian market we are now creating a new group in China.

• You are part of an interdisciplinary pre-development team that develops innovative solutions for industrial applications of Motion Control.

• You proactively contribute to the application of new technologies and their introduction into the Digital Industries MC product portfolio.

• You are responsible for driving technology innovation through the definition, design and development of software/hardware prototype implementations in alignment with product management preparing transfer to product development.

• You collaborate with other team members to find local solutions for our global needs based on your expertise.

• You track industry technology trends and provide technical support for the continuous improvement of our products.

• Based on your personal qualification and commitment potential development opportunities include an expert career or positions in other functions in the organization.

• You are skilled in C/C++ firmware development and experience with the tool-chain on different platform (such as Chips, OS…)

• Familiar with embedded systems and real time operation systems (such as Linux, FreeRTOS) development.

• Experience with RISC-V or ARM based CPU, and be able to read related schematics.

• Knowledge on PROFINET and EtherCat or other industrial communication protocols would be preferred.

• Experience on automation system is highly appreciated.

• You have proficient oral English skills.

• You have strong analytical skills, pursue innovation, and are passionate about new technologies.

• Master or above degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a comparable field of study.

• You have intercultural experience in international project work.

• You have already gained experience with working in an agile team.
