The Siemens Industry, Inc. distribution center inRoebuck, SC is seeking a Mechanical Switchboard Assembler, Level 4,to be an integral member of a diverse and dynamic team. Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Switchboard Assembler, yourresponsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Operating tools and equipment common tothe mechanical trade (e.g. hand & power tools).
  • Processing work orders (with the use ofcomputers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule orexpedited orders.
  • Scanning in and out of work orders (withthe use of computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the productionschedule or expedited orders.
  • Reading and interpreting documentsassociated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (e.g. blueprints, bill of materials, one line diagrams, etc.).
  • Gathering parts and accessories requiredin the assembly process.
  • Assembling fabricated parts to create unitassemblies (Switchboards) or subassemblies.
  • Fastening component parts on frames,subassemblies, or unit assemblies.
  • Connecting cables and basic wires.
  • Verifying that units meet specifications,tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Disassembling units to adjust or replaceparts.
  • Marking unit assemblies with identifyinginformation and/or attaches identifying tags.
  • Reporting non-conforming items (e.g.parts, schematics, blue prints, etc.)
  • Preparing finished units for shipping(e.g. packing, sealing, labeling, etc.)
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment andwork area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
  • Accessing and utilizing various documents,with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products inassembly (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.)
  • Performing other work as directed bySupervision.

You will have impact if you have thefollowing minimum qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

·         1+ years ofexperience in Manufacturing

·        Ability to read blueprints.

·         Basic ComputerSkills, and the use of basic mechanical/measuring tools

·         Reach, grasp, lift50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements ofthe hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
