Position Title: Mechanical Engineer

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week

Summary of Duties: Work as part of the Power Distribution Team. Review customer specifications and requirements while working with your engineering project team to ensure delivery of a complex and optimal product. Take mechanical ownership of the Project’s Bill of Materials (BOMs), including developing new assemblies, validating functionality, and releasing the part/assemblies to production. Provide direction as mechanical, technical lead to a team of designers who will turn concepts into new or updated 3D models. Work directly with the factory manufacturing team addressing any challenges as they produce designs. Help improve products by working collaboratively to identify design enhancements. Help improve processes and tools by providing feedback to the team leads and business excellent teams. Support Siemens products, including low voltage motor control centers and low voltage control panels. 40% remote work permitted. 

Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires experience with the following skills: 3 years of experience working with complex engineering BOMs (Bill of Materials); 3 years of experience working with 3D models; 3 years of experience working with AutoCAD; 1 year of experience working with SAP or a similar MRP/ERP system; 1 year of experience working with a complex made-to-order manufacturing environment. 40% remote work permitted.
