Position Overview:
The Assembler I is responsible for assemblingcomponent parts for rail communications equipment. Reports directly toProduction Supervisor and/or Team Leader.
What your day-to-day will look like:
The Assembler I will beresponsible for the assembly of component parts with the use of assembly printsand Bill of Materials (BOM). The Assembler I will be trained. Also responsiblefor:
- Wirecrimping, stripping, and soldering
- Perform 5Sactivities and maintain equipment in proper working order, and improve workarea cleanliness
- Perform workin a safe and healthy manner; ensuring deviations to standard work instructionsthat will lead to quality, productivity, or safety problems are immediatelyidentified
- Identify andcommunicate ideas to team leaders that support improving the team’s performanceand the elimination of waste
- Participatein process improvement activities
- Support otherassembly teams when required
- Displayprofessional conduct with customers and coworkers
- Attendtraining sessions as needed or required
To thrive in this role, you have:
- Basic computer skills required
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Problem solving skills
Preferred Knowledge/Skills,Education, and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of one year manufacturing experience preferred

The base raterange for this position in Homestead, PA is $16.00/hr – $19.52/hr. The rate may be higheror lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge,skills, and qualifications.
