Position overview:
As a Material Handler, you will support a broad range ofactivities in a dynamic, high energy warehouse environment providing allmaterial to production departments for manufacturing the best rail vehicles inthe world.
What your day would look like:
- Specific area or responsibility may includereceiving, put away, picking, kitting, or delivery of material to production.
- Ensure transactional accuracy for all materialmovements - i.e. ensure the correct quantity of material is moved to thespecified location, and MRP system transactions are completed correctly.
- Ensure all material is properly identified withappropriate labels and part numbers.
- Carefully handle material to prevent any damageduring handling in the warehouse or delivery to production.
- Immediately notify supervisor of any quality ordelivery issues
- Use of powered industrial vehicles in themovement of material. Certification for use of some tools and equipment may berequired, such as crane, forklift, order picker, scissor lift, and fallprotection equipment.
- Meet production schedule for material deliveryto production.
- Explain warehouse procedures and processes tofellow workers.
- Follow all safety requirements, including use ofall required personal protective equipment (PPE). Contribute to and maintainconditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
What you will need to be successful:
- High school education or GED
- 2 years previous experience in a warehouseenvironment
- Basic English skills - ability to read andunderstand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally.
We would be impressed if you had:
- Warehouse experience in a manufacturingenvironment.
- Powered Industrial Vehicle certification.

Starting pay for this role is $18.00/hour and additional10% for second shift. This will be a second shift position. Hourly rate maybe higher based upon skill and experience.
