This role will be based in Goole where Rail facility is the latest major investment in manufacturing made by Siemens in the UK. The facility built at the location will assemble and commission the DTUP (Deep Tube Upgrade Program) trains for London Underground, starting with a contract for the Piccadilly Line. This project is for the Siemens Rolling Stock, Metro Business Segment, which is headquartered in Vienna in Austria.
The Challenge
Embark on your 12-month placement with us whilst taking part in our fantastic intern development programme. We will create an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in Manufacturing.
- Support in implementing the logistics and operations processes.
- Working in the digitalisation space, 'twinning' our Vienna site into Goole.
- Working on our Siemens management systems, with a particular focus on operations.
- Conducting analysis and planning of tasks
- Mapping of systems, review meetings and KPIs supporting the operational performance of the plant
- Analysing data, process control and auditing
- Gaining knowledge of the overall train manufacturing process
The Candidate
We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:
- Studying towards a 2:2 or above in Manufacturing, Engineering or related degree
- You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
- You can work independently, safely, and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
- You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
