PositionOverview:
Siemens Mobility is seeking tofill a new position of Maintenance Manager – Amtrak. We are seeking an individual with Rail Industrymaintenance experience to fill this role. Ideally located in the Northeast Corridor of the US to include - Washington DC, Boston, New York, Delaware. Also open to Chicago and Sacramento, Los Angeles, or Oakland as this will support Amtrak sites.
As the Maintenance Manager you will build and lead a Technical Supportteam to deliver the objectives of high standards in safety, performance, andreliability per the various Technical Support and Spares Agreements (TSSSA).Specific targets are to be aligned with the respective Siemens Project Managersof these TSSSA’s. You will also develop strong and successful relationshipswith aligned customers’ key stakeholders and ensure the assigned Siemens FieldService team is aligned with supporting both the customers operational goalsand Siemens TSSSA targets. The assigned Siemens Field Service team shouldlikewise be aligned with the objectives of the RAMP organization who have theoverall fleet reliability responsibility. In this position you will have a team of direct reports and indirectreports that you will supervise and lead nationwide.
What yourday-to-day will look like:
- Responsible for theAmtrak Field Services team. The Sites andthe Field Service team in general should be setup and organized appropriatelyto meet the demands placed on them from the TSSSA agreements.
- Ensure there isclear understanding of the Field Service team expectations throughout theAmtrak Field Service team.
- Promote positivecollaborative relationships across the team, with customer, RAMP, Projects,Materials departments.
- Adopt continuousimprovement mentality in how the Amtrak Field Service can operate moreefficiently, effectively and driving increased customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback toteam regarding performance, quality, and productivity issues.
- Provide oversightfor performance, training, and career development of site managers and fieldtechnicians.
- Promote to ensurebest practices are shared between sites and shared with other teams.
To thrive inthis role, you have:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanicalor electrical field of study preferred. In lieu of Bachelor’s degree, acombination of education and relevant work experience with the rail industry willbe considered.
- A minimum of threeyears of comparable work experience to include maintenance management within therail industry.
- Experience inmanaging and leading multi-functional teams in a rail environment.
- Detailed technicalknowledge, theoretical and practical operation of the system and components ofrolling stock vehicles.
- Solid understandingof maintenance management, familiarity with the locomotive industry, equipment,terminology, and regulatory obligations.
- Demonstratedleadership, ability, and initiative.
- Well-demonstratedwritten and verbal communication skills.
- Prior applicationof continuous improvement techniques and principles.
- Familiar withPM@Siemens, Project Management Professional (PMP)®, or other Project Managementmethodology and terminology.
- Familiarity ofOSHA Law and Regulations and the Code of Federal Regulations CFR-49

The base salary range for thisposition in Washington DC is $132,400 - $178,600 and the annual incentivetarget is 10% of the base salary. Theactual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget andcandidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
