Then come and join our expanding team as a Logistics Coordinator. Our positions are based in Hawthorn East, Melbourne and report to the Service Logistics Team Leader.
As part of the wider Customer Service team, this role works closely with our Customer Care Centre to provide logistics solutions to meet desired outcomes with for our customers whilst ensuring target logistics costs are maintained.
This is a full-time position that requires coverage between the hours of 6am – 8pm Monday to Saturday and as such, may be required to work a rotating roster including public holidays where required.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
• Ordering: Processing order request received internally to meet the customer demand in a timely manner and monitoring the progress of orders by liaising with customs clearing, warehouse, transportation, and suppliers.
• Delivering: Monitoring order progress and ensure on time delivery by liaising with the Customer Care Centre (CCC), warehouse, transportation, and suppliers.
• Scheduling: Responsible for organising and managing external resources through our Sensitive Freight provider to ensure smooth coordination between various stakeholders.
• Handle troubleshooting and complaints for logistics issues from the field.
• Daily order status monitoring: Monitoring designed reports to ensure orders are arranged properly according to expectation, goods movement is completed in a timely manner by liaising with CCC, Customer Service Engineers and 3PL.
• Logistics cost control: Ensure that a balance is maintained between on-time delivery to meet job schedules and logistics cost targets.
Your attributes and skills:
• An understanding of the importance of on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
• A strong communicator both written and verbal.
• You can professionally investigate and respond to requests in a timely manner.
• You are equally capable and happy working independently or as part of a team.
• You are willing to work flexibly and different shifts times when needed.
• You are capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
• SAP SD Module experience highly regarded.
• Strong MS Office suite skills (particularly Excel – VLOOKUP, pivot tables etc) highly regarded.
• Experience in forwarding company/warehouse management or 3PL management is highly preferable.
You must be able to provide evidence of your eligibility to work in Australia.
