Job description

Siemens Digital Industries Software (DI SW) Technical Operations group is in search of an experienced leader to manage the operations of The Service Delivery Team. Leading a team of infrastructure engineers (system administrators) whose mission is to enable and support various R&D teams at multiple sites, as well as supporting external customers and partners for Hardware Assisted Verification business. The successful management candidate will provide key leadership and establish tight relationships across the business segments as well as other technical teams across DI SW. This position is an on-site position based in Fremont, CA. 

Job Responsibilities: 
• Manage day-to-day operations of service delivery including deployment, upgrades, administration, security, monitoring, config/change management, incident and problem management
• Lead and document Root Cause Analysis activities where required
• Develop and maintain trusted working relationships with the DI SW EDA development teams on their initiatives and positioning Service Delivery Team to support them efficiently. Advocate their requirements across various IT teams
• Strategic planning of team goals and objectives, establishing priorities and workload distribution
• Be an advocate for adoption of best practices, automation and modern toolsets
• Establishing/maintaining metrics and measures for team performance
• This position has significant responsibility for management of Emulation As A Service (EAAS) and Sales Eval platforms. Support may take place on DISW site, customer site, or co-lo

Minimal Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology or relevant field, or equivalent experience and training
• Demonstrated experience in leading IT technical teams
• Technical knowledge of engineering infrastructure with focus on Linux, Windows, NAS and VMWare, as well as Emulation as A Service/Cloud; EDA product background is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work across complex and geographically distributed organizations
• Positive attitude, self-driven, with strong commitment to delivering high quality work, both as an individual contributor as well as from their team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with global teams, including comfort in presenting up through executive level management
• Ability to lead independently, under minimal supervision in a flexible, fast-moving and dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:
• ITIL Certification in service delivery and service operations
• Enterprise IT support in a software engineering company
• Capital and budget planning of IT Hardware and Software
• Data Center management and support
• Distributed and cloud computing


Thisposition will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under theInternational Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export AdministrationRegulations (EAR).  Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S.Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range for this position is $121,400 to$218,500 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actualcompensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location aswell as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, andrelevant education/training.  Siemensoffers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
