We are looking for a Software Developer - ALM Tool / Polarion

You’ll make a difference by:

The ALM group is responsible to provide professionalapplication services to our users of Siemens Mobility worldwide. We support ourbusiness units by hosting and handling different applications for the softwarebuilds for several Mobility products and projects.

Continuous monitoring of processes, target-oriented and fastintervention and a high awareness of all current issues are key elements ofsuccessful operation and high user happiness.

  • Handle and perform development and design tasks with emphasis on programming, customizing, testing and maintenance of applications.
  • Develop and deploy Polarion extensions and scripts for customization.
  • Responsible for operating and supporting the ALM applications in use (Polarion)
  • Close contact with our Polarion team and our partners/suppliers
  • Support users with questions, implementation and further developments and systematically process tickets from end users.
  • Implement change requests or small projects based on specifications from our customers.
  • Supervise the applications and proactively prevent performance or security issues.
  • Responsible to create and maintain the service documentation and regularly update the knowledge base.
  • Plan and implement the rollout of new versions, products/solutions and services, as well as the infrastructure required.
  • Operate future applications in conjunction with our internal and external business partners.

You’ll win us over by:

  • IT Full Stack development
  • 3+ years of experience with Java as a full stack developer in software development
  • 3+ years of experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Groovy, Velocity Macros
  • Extensive experience with source code management (Git or Subversion)
  • Good teammate with good communication skills and the ability to work closely with others.
  • Willing to travel several weeks to Europe.
  • Proficient knowledge of Business English (Level C1), highly self-motivated, thinking in a customer focused way
  • Optimally finished studies in computer science or electrical engineering or a comparable qualification with corresponding additional skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in administrating Polarion, developing and deploying Polarion extensions.
  • Experience with Polarion ALM implementation for requirements management
