As part of our continued growth we are seeking a highly motivated Intern to join our Simcenter Customer Support organization, to provide technical advice in all aspects of engineering analysis to our clients using STAR-CCM+ across a wide range of industry sectors.

The role will be based in our Hammersmith office where we will support our customers throughout the United Kingdom.

Job description:

Siemens PLM Software’s Simcenter STAR-CCM+ Product Management group is seeking a dynamic and motivated student engineer to work with the team. The student intern will work with the team performing assigned tasks and learning about, and using, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and the other Simcenter portfolio tools.

The team is responsible for managing and communicating customer and market requirements, helping shape product development direction, as well as promoting and educating the field on the latest product features and enhancements.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team. A Knowledge of computer aided engineering (CAE) and programming languages, preferably C++, is highly desirable.

Your Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

· Work with the product managers to gain an understanding of the functions and usage of Simcenter STAR-CCM+ and other CAE tools.
· Perform assigned projects and tasks to gain a greater understanding of CAE software tools and their application in an industrial context.
· Prepare presentations and reports on the progress of assigned projects to communicate them to a wider audience.
· Work with STAR-CCM+’s Co-Simulation API to enable the linking of different software tools with a view to creating demonstration cases for customers.

Your Profile:

Essential

· Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
· Undertaking a course in engineering or computer science.
· Good interpersonal communication skills
· Self-motivating with a desire to learn new skills

Highly Desirable

· Knowledge of CFD/CAE tools.
· Experience in computer programming, preferably using C++
