Join our research group on Internet of Things located in Princeton, NJ, for a 3 – 9-month internship, and investigate new paradigms for representation, transport, and processing of Internet of Things data at the edge of the network. During this internship, you will experience the excitement and challenges of industrial research by applying future Internet architectures to industrial systems. An internship with Siemens Corporate Technology is a great opportunity for students to gain real world experience in a diverse work environment.

What are my responsibilities?
You will contribute to industrial research projects on networking and edge processing for Internet of Things for the next generation of digital factories.
·You will collaborate and exchange ideas with experts in the fields of Internet of Things and networking
·You will implement concepts and solutions in prototypes.
What skills are needed to qualify for this internship? (Keep this high level if you plan on hiring multiple interns with varied backgrounds and skills sets)
· A current student pursuing a PhD degree in Computer sciences
· 3 years of experience in advanced prototyping and emulations using NS3 and Mininet
· 2 years programming experience in C++, e.g. writing reusable code
· Experience with Internet of Things protocols ( MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, … )
· Advanced knowledge in Named-Data Networking and Big Data Frameworks
· Excellent team working and communication (verbal & written) skills
· Flexibility and adaptability to work in a growing, dynamic, interdisciplinary team of experts.
· Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US Export Control Law.
