Overview ofposition

Workingindependently and as part of group of Agile Scrum teams in the EU, US andworldwide that applies advanced testing methodologies to improve softwarequality, including functional, application, regression and performance testing.



You will bea member of TestFarm team

TestFarmsystem is used by multiple teams in our organization for test management,execution and review. The system is focused on automated, system level,functional and performance testing of various types of applications supportingboth single-machine and multi-machine client-server test execution. It supportsexecution of other types of tests too (unit tests, web application tests etc).


Testexecution can be parallelized to any number of test machines.

The systemsupports automatic provisioning and load balancing of test VMs, using any OSacross any number of isolated team test queues, as well installation andexecution on user maintained systems.


On backendwe use mostly PHP, JS/NodeJS, Python, communicating with PostgreSQL database(currently around 1TB big); several extra TBs stored in hash-storage. Formanaging machines Python is deployed and for running services – perl, python,shell. The whole system can be set up locally if needed as we deployed Docker.

We releaseenhancements frequently even in a single day and get immediate feedback fromclients.


Thesuccessful candidate will need to be highly motivated engineer with excellentcommunication skills, and the ability to successfully interact with clients,fellow team members and developers on a daily basis.


What willyou be doing?

  • Developing TestFarm system –this is a new revolutionary tool that will benefit from improvements
  • Supporting external clients
  • Cooperating with SeniorDevelopers on the TestFarm development roadmap
  • Taking a role of the teamplayer: there will be more people like you!

How longwill the internship last?

11 monthswith a possibility to be converted into a permanent position with Siemens.


What do youneed to succeed?

  • Student of degree inComputer/Software Engineering, Electronics or other related discipline, able tocommit 20-40h/week for this job.
  • Conversational English
  • Eligibility to work legally inPoland without immigration support.
  • Attention to details andhigh-quality work.
  • Currently we use thesetechnologies: PHP, JS, NodeJS, Perl, Python, Bash, Powershell, PosgreSQL,Docker, admin for linux. You should be familiar with at least PHP or Python onthe practical level – the rest you can learn with us!
  • Willingness to workindependently and as part of the team.
