Job description

Siemens Digital Industries Software is looking for a self-managed problem solver to be part of a team creating customer-consumable documentation for E.D.A. Simulation products.

You will independently develop this documentation using collateral material such as functional specifications, white papers, interviews with development team members, and so forth. You will perform “hands on” activities using the Siemens Simulation products on Linux and Windows. You will be a member of both a content development team and a software development team.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Proactive, decisive, and independent; can work with minimal supervision with problem-solving abilities
• Solution-oriented approach with the ability to produce technically accurate, high quality content
• Ability to take charge of a project from concept through production, or any stage in between
• Flexible and able to respond professionally and adjust priorities dynamically as required
• Ability to visualize, communicate, and create diagrams for abstract concepts and processes
• Programming ability with languages such as Python
• Practical experience using Linux

Required Writing Experience:
• Ability to write clearly and accurately
• Ability to create task-based and process flow documentation
• Extensive experience using Oxygen and Structured FrameMaker
• Familiarity with DITA structured documentation a big plus

Education: 
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Writing, or equivalent

The salaryrange for this position is $82,900 to $149,200 and this role is eligible toearn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on thesuccessful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, includingjob-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.  Siemens offers a variety of health andwellness benefits to employees.
