Position Overview

 

This early career Human Resources Business Partner position will be a valued HR team member supporting the Charlotte, NC campus for Siemens Energy Generation Division. This position will partner with experienced HR professionals, employees, supervisors and managers to deliver consultative HR services aligned to the business strategy.  The HR Business Partner will also serve as a campus advocate for a population of approximately 1200 employees.  The candidate will have the ability to understand the business, the strategy and the mission to deliver integrated Human Resources management services and programs across the business.

 

Responsibilities

 

The position will provide a full range of Human Resources support and expertise to the Siemens Energy Generation business unit including:

·  Deliver HR Services and strategy within organization as aligned with business goals.
·  Contribute to the talent management process, including annual talent reviews and organization planning to accelerate leadership development at all levels in the organization.
·  Promote and champion diversity efforts in hiring, promotion, job rotations, etc.
·  Develop skills in employee relations and communication to create an environment that drives maximum individual and team success and facilitate resolution of employee relations issues
·  Learn how to influence leaders to focus on performance management to maximize employee contributions and to proactively address performance issues.
·  Partner with HR Advisors and Shared Services efforts on escalated questions regarding payroll, workers compensation, leave of absences, investigations, policies, etc.
·  Counsel and advise managers and employees consistent with Siemens policies.
·  Identify areas, needs for change management and participate in related activities
·  Travel occasionally.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

·  BS/BA in Human Resources or related discipline required
·  0-2 years of successful experience in a human resources related role, for a GRIP 9 role or 2- 5 years of successful experience in a human resources related role, for a GRIP 8 role.
·  Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to effectively problem solve.
·  Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively; in both written and oral presentation skills.
·  Demonstrate ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results and to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
·  Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

·  Masters Degree in an applicable field
·  Knowledge and experience in Energy Markets
·  Experience in a Manufacturing environment
·  Strong project management skills
