Job description

The Catapult Marketing team is looking for a new team memberto help define, promote and deploy our High-Level Synthesis (HLS) andHigh-Level Verification (HLV) solutions at leading edge semiconductor andsystems customers. As a Factory HLS expert, you will be part of the global TechnicalMarketing team reporting to the Divisional Technical Product ManagementDirector responsible for HLS/HLV. This role involves both working with theengineering team to define product requirements and direction, and supportingSales and Application Engineering teams in positioning, deploying andsupporting HLS/HLV products. These products include High-Level Synthesis, DesignChecking, High-Level Verification with Code and Functional Coverage as well asformal apps.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with key customers to understand business needs and define new technologies and techniques to create the future of HLS and HLV
  • Specify features and capabilities in HLS/HLV in partnership with software engineering team
  • Analyze and rework HLS designs to improve Quality of Results and our product offering
  • Create and deliver customer training on HLS/HLV Products and methodologies
  • Create, and deliver product demonstrations, presentations, webinars, and attend and present at conferences such as DAC, Siemens User2User, DVCon, and so-on
  • Be expected to travel up to 25% of the time nationally, and internationally
  • This role requires a strong hardware engineering design & architecture background, with exposure to verification as a plus. Excellent analytical capabilities, and strong communication skills are needed to understand, describe and influence product requirements with our software team. Interaction with internal and external stakeholders at customers with the Siemens EDA sales organization is key, and some national and international travel will be required.
RequiredKnowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical,electronic or computer engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years ASIC or FPGA hardware design experience in algorithmic Video/Image/Signal Processing or AI verticals authoring RTL or C++/System C for High-Level Synthesis
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and  Experience:

  • 3 years or more, in Technical Marketing, Application Engineering, or Hardware Design with HLS is preferred
  • C++ and/or SystemC language basic proficiency is a plus
  • Experience of RTL synthesis for timing and area QoR and verification flows is a plus
  • Understanding of RTL Power Estimation and Optimization would be a plus


This position is offered either in The Bay Area at ourFremont site, or our campus in Wilsonville, Oregon. Full-time in-office orHybrid (up to three days in the office) is preferred, though for the rightsenior-level candidate, we are able to offer the role as fully remote.

The salary range for this position is $145,700 to$262,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actualcompensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location aswell as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, andrelevant education/training.  Siemensoffers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
