Siemens Rail Automation is the market leader in train control in the UK and globally where it provides services to the world’s blue chip rail networks. Its extensive portfolio of “technology leading” products have provided solutions for many different types of railway systems across the world, from densely used metros to high speed networks.

The Challenge:

· Complete your nationally recognised engineering qualifications
· Take part in a work rotation plan to explore every aspect of the business
· Take ownership and responsibility for the completion of your own tasks
· Produce and maintain a CPD file
·

The Candidate:

· GCSE level C or above (or equivalent) in Science, Maths and English
· ‘A’ level or BTEC National Cert (or equivalent) in acomputer based subject, Maths and / or Physics.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal
· Organisational and time management skills
· IT Literate
· Awareness of aspects of telecoms engineering relating to fixed networks

Other Challenges:

All employees have a duty to comply with Health, Safety and Environment Procedures available on the Business Management System and to be alert in identifying potential hazards by removing or minimising them wherever possible.

Post Specific

· Trackside Competencies - Valid PTS / LUCAS, where applicable
· Medical Fitness Standards - Valid certificate in accordance with PTS, where applicable
· Personal Protective Equipment - issued as necessary
· Competence Assessment requirement
· Manual Handling training
· Other Health and Safety Training required for the employee to perform their duties
