Data Analyst
If you imagine the amount of data each of us generates in our daily lives, social media, web browsing, smart metering and content streaming, we have an abundance of data at our finger tips.
As a Data Analysts it is your role to bring together all these disparate sources of information and then by applying the latest techniques and technologies draw insights and gain an appreciation of the facts that haven’t been understood before.
Want to know the effect of the weather or the Olympics on utility usage, ask a Data Analyst. Want to know if school holidays make our work force more effective, ask a Data Analysts.
You will be given the skills to find trends and make predictions, all it takes is an inquisitive mind and your imagination.
This role represent s some of the most sought after skills required for the Future by Siemens and across the whole Economy, embracing automation, digitalisation & electrification and also customer services.
What are my responsibilities?
A Higher Apprenticeship is a programme that takes a minimum of 3 years to complete, as follows:-
· Year 1 will be college based (and include work placements at Siemens during term breaks) to undertake level 3 advanced technical extended diploma in digital technologies (720) (5220-32).
· The remainder of the apprenticeship will be work based at a Siemens site with day release for college to undertake a relevant level 4 Technical Certificate in your chosen specialism and to commence NVQ level 4.
What do I need to qualify for this job?
· A’Levels to include Maths, I.Tand Science is required (Adult equivalents accepted)
· Enthusiasm for a career in digitilization (I.T, data analytics, statistics or gaming)
· Working within a team environment
· It would be beneficial, although not essential, for applicants to have some relevant industrial experience – e.g. summer placements.
· Must be a confident communicator and proactive problem solver
