Incollaboration with our value partner, OU Health, and the University of OklahomaHealth Sciences (OU Health Sciences), the Health Economist will be a highlyflexible, collaborative and innovative individual, committed to provide thebest possible service to our customer and other stakeholders. The HealthEconomist will actively involve all stakeholders, both from Siemens Healthineers,OU Health, and OU Health Sciences in the design and implementation of healtheconomic studies and publications. The incumbent will undertake a range ofmodeling activities that will advance health economics & outcomes research(HEOR) project objectives, and identifying the best methods based on researchgoals and available resources for Healthineers, OU Health, and OU HealthSciences. The Health Economist will publish the research results inpeer-reviewed journals.

Theprimary responsibilities of this role are:

•Leading tasks or components of large, complex quantitative modeling projectsincluding cost-effectiveness, budget impact, cost-comparison, cost consequence andhospital-based HTA models.

•Implement programming of high complexity models, using various modelingapplications (Microsoft Excel, R, TreeAge, Python, WinBUGS).

•Conduct quality control checks on model calculations; identify issues withmodel programming and recommend solutions.

•Review and finalize project deliverables and ensure study findings are validand reliable.

•Conduct targeted literature reviews, systematic literature reviews, andmeta-analyses.

•Research, prepare, and coordinate scientific publications by writinghigh-quality medically/scientifically accurate deliverables including manuscriptsfor publications in medical/scientific journals, abstracts for submission tomedical/scientific conferences, and poster content for presentation.

•Address document revisions, comments, review rounds, and submissions.

•Contribute to best practices for the team as it relates to economicevaluations, model development and validation, data organization andprogramming standards.

•Keep apprised of technical developments in the field and share best practices.

•Manage projects with minimal supervision and coordinates production ofdeliverables

•Build relationships in research collaborations with health economists,physician, research and clinical staff, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements& Capabilities:

•Track record of HEOR modeling publications in peer-reviewed journals

•Relevant research experience; at least 3 years (with PhD), preferablyexperienced working with academic institutions or medical devices anddiagnostics

•Understanding of simulation methods (Markov models, discrete-event simulation,etc.), optimization (linear, non-linear, stochastic), survival/mortalityanalysis, statistical modeling (logistic, ordinal, regressions, etc.)

•Demonstrated analytical, creative problem solving, and structured communicationskills

•Ability to manage own time and proactively identify prioritized tasks formultiple concurrent projects

•Focus on attention to detail

•Strong written and spoken English language skills

•Strong communications skills and experience developing interpersonalrelationships with internal and external stakeholders

•Demonstrated ability to make effective decisions independently and to work in afast-paced matrix environment with minimal supervision

•Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and develop customer/partnerstrategies.

•Knowledge of Healthineers solution & product landscape preferred.
