What do you contribute?
Our Turnkey Business Unit delivers multi-disciplinary rail projects of extraordinary complexity, volume, and purpose for society – such as our eight billion Euro project in Europe. You will be fully responsible for advising the Berlin headquartered Business Unit management on all legal matters.
- You will manage a team of twelve lawyers and contract managers, reporting directly to the General Counsel of Siemens Mobility.
- You will be responsible for the Business Unit’s projects and legal proceedings;
- You will oversee all legal aspects of the different businesses, including coordination and alignment with the legal professionals advising the businesses on HQ level and those advising these business areas in the national subsidiaries (matrix organization).
- Also, you will implement and ensure legal standards and corresponding trainings within the Business Unit.
- You will align closely with other business units, and national subsidiaries.
- Furthermore, you will educate the Turnkey management team with respect to legal and risk management issues.
What do you bring along?
- You are a fully qualified lawyer with outstanding academic qualification.
- Moreover, you have longtime professional experience in the legal department of an international company involved in infrastructure projects (ideally turnkey).
- Previous leadership experience is advantageous, but not necessarily required.
- You can lead, retain, motivate and inspire a team of dedicated expert legal counsels and contract managers.
- Additionally, you are known to effectively communicate across all management levels.
- You have a strong business sense, in particular in regard to risk identification and risk assessment, contract negotiations, and claim management.
- You work with passion on international topics across geographies and cultures.
- Finally: You have excellent English language skills (both verbal and written).
