Head of IT, Factory

Siemens is building a new factory in Singapore, and we are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Head of IT to join our team. As the Head of IT, you will be responsible for managing the IT systems and infrastructure for our cutting-edge manufacturing plant. This is a unique opportunity to establish IT processes, build a strong local IT organization, and implement support processes that will drive the success of our new factory. Working closely with other departments and partner IT organizations, you will ensure that our systems are running smoothly and efficiently, utilizing the latest technologies to optimize our production processes. Leading a team of 8, you will provide guidance and support to ensure their success in meeting performance targets. You will make an impact in the following:
  • Build up the local IT team; Define areas of responsibilities, select suitable candidates for the team, and support the hiring process.
  • Manage the IT for the manufacturing plant, including applications, hardware, and network.
  • Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure that all systems are secure and compliant with regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for IT improvements that can optimize our production processes.
  • Collaborate and align with the global IT team, partner factory IT teams, and IT suppliers.

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

  • High-level knowledge of manufacturing IT solutions, including MES, ERP, PLM, and infrastructure.
  • Proficient in process analysis and design techniques, as well as project management.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices for IT security and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and intercultural skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve IT issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Fluent in English, and other language skills according to local requirements.
