Siemens Mobility Customer Services is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial leader, and dedicated Head of Digital Operations to ride the exciting world of Digital Transformation of the Rolling Stock service and maintenance business. Together with our multi-functional teams and customers, you will drive Digital Transformation into the world of Maintenance Operations by using the strength of Rail Service with Digital Services.
You will be responsible for driving and leading on Digital Operations Projects and leading a small team of direct multi-skilled managers representing the critical delivery functions, and overall coordination of the project delivery teams.

In this key role, you will transform rail vehicle maintenance from time / mileage based to a total predictive system over the next 5 years. You will achieve this by:
- Implementing the Fleet Control Centre, based in Goole, as a central processing hub for digital systems information and analysis which is fed into the respective fleets.
- Leading the adoption of the suite of tools, techniques, measurements, algorithms, provided by our Digital Solutions team across 13 maintenance locations across the UK, to drive operations to identify the signs for maintenance intervention in a predictive manner. Defining a structured approach across a platform and fleets to systematically move from time / mileage-based exams and overhauls to automated inspections and pre-emptive interventions.
- Deploying and tracking Tactical Plans which deliver the overall objective of ‘Total Predictive Maintenance’, pulling together relevant functions (Operations / Engineering / Digital / and Commercial) to deliver the overhaul digital vision.
- Recruiting and mobilising a team to lead all aspects of Digital Operations implementation, building the Digi-Ops network including development of Digital Thinking & Digital Skills.
- Driving the adoption of Digi-tools across the CS Operations Business, ensuring there is an implementation and maturity plan which is locally owned for every depot and business within our portfolio.
- Developing customer collaborations which drive the overall Digital Maintenance agenda, and Siemens position as market leader.
- In collaboration with the Digital Team, developing methodologies and toolsets to bring new solution into realisation to solve internal or external customer operational or performance challenges.
Your success will be grounded by
- Previous experience of Fleet Operations and associated Fleet Maintenance and Reliability Growth.
- Demonstrable experience implementing digital solutions adoption in an operations environment.
- Leadership of major change and transformation programme, which include mindset and cultural shifts across many demographics and levels of an organisation.
- Experience of integrated MES systems and operational business systems.
