Position Overview:

SiemensMobility Rolling Stock is adding a, Group Lead Paint for our FinishingDepartment In this exciting role, your primary responsibility will be tosupport and training Heavy Rail Painting team to meet production goals. Youwill be the primary leadership contact for a diverse high producing team andwill strive to ensure your team is proficient, safe, and productive.

What your day will look like:

  • Manage budget hours and improving the budget hours by organizing teamwork and monitor it.
  • Prepare standard work instructions and share updates with teamwork.
  • Coordinate work schedules in coordination with operational objectives.
  • Ensuring all safety measure are followed.
  • Ensure masking and other preparations are made prior to painting.
  • Assist in preparation of car bodies for transportation in and out of the blast booth.
  • Safely use hand and power tools.
  • General maintenance of painting equipment.

What we are looking for:

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simpleinstructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing simplecorrespondence to other employees.  Adeptnessto effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations tocustomers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

DECISION-MAKING: Facility to apply common senseunderstanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oralinstructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:  Skill to add, subtract, multiply,and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, anddecimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpretbar graphs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school education or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a transportation painter (i.e. automotive industry)
  • Basic English skills – ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicate verbally.

The hourly range for thisposition is $29.30-39.56/hour. This is a first shift position. The salary maybe higher or lower depending on your experience and skills.
