Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

Your tasks and responsibilities:
  • You will lead the development, implementation, and management of carbon accounting systems and tools to accurately measure, track, and report greenhouse gas emissions.
  • You will provide expert guidance to internal clients to analyze their carbon footprint, identify reduction opportunities, and develop strategies to achieve emissions reduction goals.
  • You will ensure accurate GHG accounting for yearly disclosures and regular data monitoring.
  • You will improve calculation of GHG emissions by integrating and harmonizing data sources from various departments.
  • You will drive the improvement of GHG data management tools, aligned with the Siemens Healthineers IT infrastructure.
  • You will stay updated on the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to carbon accounting.
  • As part of the sustainability climate team, you will collaborate across all business areas, functions, and regions.

Your qualifications and experience:
  • You have successfully completed a university degree in data science, environmental studies, engineering, or related fields.
  • You have proven many years of professional experience in GHG accounting and management and/or developing climate-related decarbonization strategies for companies and/or in climate consulting or assurance.
  • You have in-depth knowledge in the field of GHG accounting, covering GHG accounting principles, standards, verification processes, and upcoming climate-related regulations. Experience in life-cycle analysis is favorable.
  • You have strong data analysis skills as well as experience in working with quantitative data sets and database systems, statistical data analysis methods and data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI).

  • You have very good communication skills in English, German is a plus
