Job description

Siemens AGT are recruiting a Parts Forecaster based in our office in Warwick.

Using statistical tools and techniques, the Parts Forecaster is responsible for generating demand forecasts and demand uncertainty stock targets to support ongoing customer demands. The Parts Forecaster will monitor and analyse demand and produce and act on forecast variance analysis to make optimum use of available resource in order to achieve Service Level targets. This process will need the skills to analyse part demand history and market intelligence to produce accurate long and short term material forecasts.

Whilst the role will focus primarily on developing long and medium parts forecasts, there is a requirement for the Parts Forecaster to perform data analysis and produce information that will drive business decision making. The role will also encompass inventory management and control for the portfolio of parts under the Parts Forecaster’s control.

Over the past few years,our aero-derivative gas turbine businesshas successfully grown to be a £1 billion per annum global business by focusing on the supply and support of aero-derivative gas turbine packages and equipment to the global oil & gas and power generation markets. The business has supplied over 4,000 gas turbines to customers in over 80 countries accumulating over 200 million hours of operating experience. What are my responsibilities?

· Analyse all demand components using appropriate techniques and tools and produce macro part forecasts through automatic and manual methods.
· Meet targets for forecast accuracy, bias and provisioning performance.
· Meet inventory objectives for control, reduction, stock turns etc.
· To provide statistical analysis and insight on forecasting matters.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· Advanced Excel data manipulation and analysis skills.
· Strong computer literacy is essential, particularly across all Microsoft Office packages.
· Highly numerate..
· The ability to explain complex concepts and problems in simple terms and communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
· Ability to demonstrate conceptual, innovative thinking in forecasting methods and techniques.
· Ability to work under pressure and to prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
· Ability to develop strong internal relationships and interact at all levels.
· Ability to create reports with high visual impact.
· Self-motivated, flexible and responsive to business needs and changes in priorities and deadlines.
