The vision:
To achieve a next level of digitalization in accounting & controlling in close collaboration with and as a trusted partner for Siemens Controlling and Finance, but also for accounting / controlling departments in the businesses, regarding to the process design and related IT solutions, services and platforms.
The mission:
To provide business specific, mission critical IT solutions, services and platforms regarding financial closing and reporting, especially for the Siemens Governance unit Controlling & Finance. A focal point is to accelerate and foster the digitalization of the record to report process based on an end-2-end optimization approach to generate tangible value for the businesses.
The key areas of your responsibility:
- You are part of an international cross functional team with profound finance domain expertise, bringing together processes, data and technology to accelerate Siemens internal digitalization
- As a trusted partner you decisively strengthen the collaboration with the finance closing community and the corporate group accounting, regarding current challenges and future strategic developments
- You collaborate regularly with the Siemens headquarter functions and Siemens Finance Hub Organization to influence and design complex record to report process issues and ensure the implementation of solutions in time and the high quality for the Siemens key projects
- Working closely with group accounting key users and subject matter experts, you will initiate and drive continuous improvement of financial reporting and related policies, processes and applications
- Beside that and based on your knowledge of current and future-proof standard solutions, you will advise the senior management on technical issues and processing logics in accordance with Siemens' strategic requirements, using innovative and digital approaches
- Your role will involve being a key contributor to finance transformation initiatives, with a particular focus on group consolidation and reporting
- You support the full application lifecycle starting with first ideation workshops and consulting over successful prototypes until the go live of an enterprise-ready application and operations

- The base of your profile is a university degree in business administration, IT, computer science or physics
- In addition you have many years of professional experience in the finance area as well as in IT (diverse backgrounds welcome, e.g., industry, consultancy, academia etc.)
- You have profound domain expertise in finance (accounting, controlling, closing, tax) and are used to think in end-to-end processes
- Futhermore, you possess deep working knowledge of SAP modules / tools with focus on Finance topics. Especially experience in working with SAP financial group consolidation solutions like SEM-BCS / BCS 4 or S/4Hana Group Reporting is expected
- Flexibility and the ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment characterizes you
- You are motivated, pro-active and have an entrepreneurial spirit
- To work in a team and to communicate effectively with the relevant stakeholders is no difficulty for you
- A strong strategic judgment, business competence and professional ethics together with strong communication skills are part of your profile
- You consider yourself a self-starter willing to learn things on the fly
- Fluency in english, which is required for negotiations, rounds off your profile
