Siemens Pension Fund Management department (PFM) in the U.S. is responsible for the oversight and investment management of over $10 billion of retiree benefit plan assets. The department manages assets and operations for benefit plans in the US, Canada, Mexico. The group reports to Siemens global headquarters’ Pensions Department based in Munich, Germany. The Americas region PFM, comprised of 4 members, is based in Iselin, NJ
We are looking for a Financial Analyst – Pensions role and you will have exposure to a broad array of responsibilities. You will report to the Senior Vice President, Chief Investment Officer and be responsible for financial tasks associated with managing the investment and governance activities of the Siemens Corporation benefit plans, primarily the Defined Benefit (“DB”) and Defined Contribution (“DC”) plans and trusts.
You need to have a strong analytical and organizational skills with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail, good judgment, and ability to work independently within a defined scope of responsibility. You need to possess strong communication and inter-personal skills, demonstrate an ability to recommend and implement process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency, and will be a highly responsive and proactive team player able to work in a dynamic, international environment.
We are looking for Financial Analyst with the base location in Iselin, NJ office. Siemens has a hybrid work enironment.
Responsibilities:
Investment Activities:
- Work closely with the Chief Investment Officer and service providers to maintain relationships with investment managers, banks, and other service providers;
- Maintain and manage the benefit plan databases - Track and reconcile participant and other cash flows in investment options; analyze participant fund movements;
- Pension Plan and Savings Plan Performance Reporting - Review the monthly performance reports received from the Custodian for accuracy; follow-up with the Custodian and/or investment manages as necessary to reconcile differences in calculated performance; distribute Flash Reports and summary to the President of Siemens Capital and the SVP PFM; create and distribute performance attribution reports to SVP PFM and the Investment Officers in PFM
Benefit Plan Administration and Governance Activities:
- Manage Pension and Savings Trust Expenses –Create annual forecast of Trust expenses; analyze actual versus forecast; prepare exhibits for inclusion in Investment Committee materials; understand investment manager fee schedules-asset and performance based; analyze fees for accuracy; following through to ensure fees are paid on time; interface with manages, custodial system; ad-hoc analysis as needed;
- Investment Committee Reviews – Prepare and compile Investment Committee presentation materials for quarterly meetings;
- Investment Portfolio Compliance – Use Custodian’s proprietary system to track investment managers’ compliance with their investment guidelines; research potential compliance violations and follow up with investment managers as necessary; document the monitoring process
Requirements are:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field.
- 2+ years experience in financial experience
- Proficent in MS office Suite, expecially excel
- Strong Analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Highly prefer investment, accounting or audit experience related to domestic or international corporate defined benefit and defined contribution plans.

- The pay range for this position is $65,240 - $111,840 along with a 10% incentive bonus structure. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
