Job description
As the Field Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our field service operations, specifically focusing on Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik systems. This multifaceted position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to oversee our field service teams, maintain high standards of customer satisfaction, and actively contribute to the development of our team members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of field service technicians, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills in Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik systems, as well as customer interaction capabilities.
2. Service Operations Management:
- Plan, organize, and oversee day-to-day field service operations for Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik systems to meet client requirements.
- Ensure timely and high-quality service delivery, exceeding customer expectations in the realm of these specialized systems.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly in the context of Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik systems.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer support teams to identify opportunities for service expansion in these specific areas.
4. Resource Planning and Optimization:
- Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to maximize service delivery for Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik systems.
- Implement strategies to optimize field service processes, improve response times, and reduce costs in the context of these specialized systems.
5. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce quality assurance measures to uphold service standards for Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and company policies, specifically tailored to these advanced technologies.
6. Talent Development:
- Identify and nurture the potential of team members through training and mentorship, emphasizing skills related to Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik systems.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the team stays abreast of advancements in these specialized technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering,Automation or relevant field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience in managing field service teams, specifically in Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik systems.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction within the context of these specialized systems.
- Able to respond to Emergency Service Requests as needed
- Basic computing skills (MS office, email, web-based program usage, etc.)
- 5 or more years of experience with related area
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and emerging trends in Drive, PLC, and Sinumerik technologies.
