Siemens Energy, Inc., Gas and Power, Pittsburgh Service Center is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Technician to work in its Tooling Facility located in Mt. Pleasant, PA.
What is the overview and responsibilities of your position?
The selected incumbent will test, trouble shoot and repair electrical and electronic tooling and equipment used in turbine generator field operations.
·Perform electrical and electronic inspection, testing, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment and upgrade of turbine generator field service tooling and equipment, including specification of required replacement parts.
·Perform electrical testing on stored turbine generator equipment.
·Support troubleshooting, repair and expansion of plant electrical systems.
·Develop and document inspection, test and repair procedures for field service tooling and equipment.
·Prepare records documenting tool testing, maintenance and repair.
·Determine minimum stocking levels for key repair parts for field service tooling.
·Recommend and implement tooling improvements and upgrades to enhance reliability and effectiveness in their field applications.
·Consult with field and project personnel regarding selection, field setup and application of tooling.
·Perform other related duties, including any associated with lower labor grade positions, as directed.
·5%Travel required to provide operational and troubleshooting/repair support of electrical/electronic tooling as part of a field crew at the customer's jobsite.
What is your required knowledge/skills, education, and experience?
·Minimum 7 years' experience in testing and repair of electrical/electronic tooling and equipment
·2 years formal training at Electrical/Electronics Institute or recognized equivalent program preferred, minimum of High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
·Training and knowledge in interpretation of electrical/electronic schematics and use of electrical/electronic measuring/testing equipment.
