The Electrical Products business unit within Smart Infrastructure division is a rapidly growing business unit with operations spread across the US.
We are looking for an Equipment Engineer. This position will be based at Pomona, CA. This position will routinely work from 8-5, M-F
You’ll make an impact by:
- Be a key technical expert in providing support to the manufacturing lines, troubleshooting equipment hardware and software issues.
- Support implementation of digitalization and automation equipment capital expenditures for factory.
- Analyze impact of equipment failures on maintenance spending to identify improvement opportunities.
- Generate or maintain standard operating procedures/work instructions (PM procedures, task lists, spare parts management, document control, maintenance strategies...).
- Serve as a subject matter expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations (RCA).
- Daily engineering support/communication/coordination of manufacturing.
- Engage technically with vendors, contractors, and service providers to define scope of intervention and negotiate service contracts.
- Promote continuous improvement activities and cost saving strategies to improve equipment availability, reliability, and operational stability.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of industry experience.
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience as operations support in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to drive and implement projects.
- Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with PLC, Robotics, Hydraulics motors, crane, punch press, metal machine bending, pumps, valves, electrical and compress air piping, filters and etc.

- The pay range for this position is $79,000 - $105,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
