Building Automation Energy Service Technicians provide remote diagnostics and troubleshooting assistance over the phone for our field technicians and/or customer dispatched technicians working out of our Austin, TX office. Additionally, Typical work hours are between 7 AM and 7 PM however candidates must be able to work second shift and weekends when required. Additionally, there is an on-call rotation split between all team members.


As a Building Automation Energy Service Technician, you will:

  • Provide technical analysis and troubleshooting of our Energy Management Systems
  • Conduct validation and configuration of new installations supporting our clients’ third-party vendors ensuring persistent connectivity to remote servers.
  • Provide remote technical support for end-users at locations with installed Energy Management Systems
  • Support our clients’ third-party vendors
  • Ensure persistent connectivity to remote servers


You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or state-recognized GED
  • 3 years of technical customer support experience with knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Prior Siemens experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated proficiency in typing
  • Knowledge of relevant software computer applications and equipment
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite
  • Effective listening skills
  • Multi-tasking capabilities
  • Ability to manage conflict
  • Establishes proper courses of action to ensure that work product is completed efficiently and on time/within proper time limits
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years technical support experience preferably with electrical/HVAC energy management systems
  • Experience with Linux or other command line interfaces
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree
  • Electrical/HVAC Energy Management Systems experience

  • The pay range for this position is $43,190 - $74,090. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
