The role.
- Design of PCBA (Layout, BOM, Schematics, tests, production setup)
- Component PCBA BOM analysis
- Identifying and approving alternate part replacements for obsolescence and lead time issues
- Provide recommendation on obsolete and sole source parts by understanding the component usage
- Knowledge in Electronic Components / Cost Analysis/ Electronic Component Datasheet study for Form Fit Function comparison
- Initiate standard methodologies of obsolescence management and supply chain management
- Identify and approve new suppliers for sub-components
- Develop and standardize validation plan for sub-components
- Evaluates supplier change notification and qualifies changes, as needed
- Maintains the Approved Parts List (APL) or (AML) Approved Manufacturer List for R&D
- Apply detailed problem-solving skills to define issues, identify root causes, develop, qualify, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
- Can review schematic and recommend changes based on worst-case analysis
Your profile.
- Minimum 3 years electronic product design experience
- Bachelors in engineering in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or other related degree
- Experience in using Altium or related tools
- Knowledge in crafting schematics and layout for PCBAs
- Knowledge in crafting BOM for PCBAs
- Knowledge in testing PCBAs
- Obsolescence management standard processes
- Good knowledge on electronic components and component selection
- Electronic Component characterization and validation
- BOM Management
- Requalification of component changes (PCN review)
- Engineering organizational change
- Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Strong customer focus and ability to work optimally with a wide variety of people
- Need to be self-motivated and teammate
- Must be willing to work for flexible time depending on need basis to overlap with US-based process partners
The pay range for this position is $65,500 - $112,400. The actual wageoffered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience,knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
