Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for interns for our Electrical Engineering team in Wendell, NC to support our portfolio of business, products and solutions. 

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Create all documents for customer approval and manufacturing of energy management equipment, including electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (with guidance from assigned mentor and senior engineer)
  • Be a critical part of a custom designed-to-order business focused on unique customer requirements 
  • Maintain meta data across a complete parts library for motor control centers 
  • Coordinate with application engineering, project management, sales, and customer to resolve technical issues 
  • Interact directly with the factory manufacturing team addressing any challenges as they produce your designs 

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student studying Electrical Engineering.
  • Ability to report in-person to the Wendell, NC office in a full-time capacity without housing or travel/relocation compensation assistance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous CAD software experience is preferred (AutoCAD, Eplan, Ebase, ElCAD, etc.) 
  • Experience writing simple Excel macros 
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills 
  • Experience with MS office products with proficiency in MS works, Excel and PowerPoint

  • The hourly pay rate for this position is $25.00-$30.00/hr. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
