Electric Vehicle Charge Point Field Service Technician UK (London / Southeast)

As an Electric Vehicle Charge Point Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting Siemens’ cutting-edge electric vehicle charging products and solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and supporting the transition to low carbon operations.

You’ll make a difference by:

•Conduct test and commissioning activities including site handover testing
•Perform preventative maintenance, fault identification and corrective maintenance in a variety of work environments, including bus depots, service stations and on the public highway
•Be available as part of an on-call rota (including at nights and weekends) for approximately 10 weeks per year
•Deliver on-site training for customers
•Work effectively under own initiative and as part of a wider team to meet customer requirements whilst always adhering to company safety policies
•Maintain records and generate comprehensive test and service reports using digital tools
•Identify and suggest improvements to our products and services
•Assist in updating and enhancing service documentation
•Collaborate with development teams to deploy, test, and provide feedback on new products

You’re excited to build on your existing expertise, including:

•HNC / City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical / Electronic or equivalent
•BS7671 qualification
•Proficiency with electrical installations including 3-phase
•Strong troubleshooting skills
•Familiarity with network and industrial communication protocols and related tools
•Knowledge of relevant safety regulations 
•Ability to read circuit schematics
•Full driving license with a maximum of 6 points

Desirable:

•HERS / HEA accreditation under National Highway Sector Scheme 8
•City & Guilds 2919 EV Charging.
•City & Guilds Level 3 Inspection and Testing.
•Previous experience with DC power converters up to 1000V and/or commissioning and service work on DC electric vehicle chargers
•Knowledge of PLC systems
