This is a role well suited to anambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a EHSSpecialist 2, you will be responsible for:
· Assistthe Director of EHS in managing the Molecular Imaging Environmental, Health andSustainability Initiative and establishing new policies and procedures.
· Workwith Director of EHS to develop and maintain Business Continuity for the MIClinical businesses. This includes working with each site team to develop andmaintain the site Business Continuity Plans. Conduct annual drills of the Business Continuity Plans.
· Assistwith managing the EHS Management System, including developing new procedures,implementing latest changes, and managing required records and documentation.
· Assistthe Director of EHS and EHS Team with managing Molecular Imaging ProductRelated (PEP) and Facility-related environmental, health and safetyinitiatives. This includes collection ofenergy data, creation of Environmental Product Declarations, etc.
· CoordinateEHS digitalization and productivity projects.
· Assistthe MI Health Management Lead with coordinating site events and implementingnew initiatives.
· Assistthe EHS and Training Team in developing EHS Training content and conductingtraining as needed (i.e. New Employee Orientation, Contactor Safety, etc.).
· Assist inthe preparation of EHS compliance reports and documentation.
· Collect,maintain, and analyze EHS and Radiation Safety data and KPI’s to identifytrends in EHS performance.
· Assistwith conducting safety and environmental audits and inspections.
· Assistin coordinating activities to ensure compliance with applicable federal, state,and local regulations related to environmental, health and safety requirements.
Secondary Responsibilities
· SupportRadiation Safety Officer in performing various program tasks such as radiationsurveys, package check-in, leak test/inventories.
· Supportthe site EHS Specialist in performing various program tasks such as ergonomicassessments, industrial hygiene (IH) surveys, job hazard analyses (JHA),personal protective equipment (PPE) and other hazard assessments.
· Assistwith incident management, including incident investigations and implementationof corrective actions.
· Performfunctions related to hazardous waste including collection of contaminatedwastes, organizing material for segregation using applicable waste codes.Prepares material and manifests for hazardous waste shipments.
· Bean EHS representative for site-related projects. This includes reviewing of Management ofChange forms (MoC), conducting project safety reviews, evaluating newequipment, overseeing contractors and other tasks.
· Participateon site Emergency Response Team.
· Participateon the site EHS committee and in all internal and external audits.
· May berequired to perform other EHS related duties as assigned.
Required skills to have for the success of this role:
- Entry level to 3 years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Nuclear Medicine orrelated discipline preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong writing capabilities, especially with writing clear, concise EHSprocedures.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and work independently withminimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with individuals atall levels of the organization.
- Travel up to 10% when necessary to support projects.
Preferred knowledge and skills for the success of this role:
- Associate/Certified Safety Professional(ASP/CSP) certification, Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) certification,or equivalent.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and NRCregulations and industry EH&S standards desired.
- Experience working with ISO 14001 andISO 45001 Management Systems.
- DOT/IATA Hazardous MaterialsCertification.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certified.
