Job description

Main Purpose of the Role:

This is a part-time (17 hours a week) and homebased position thatwill involve travel between theOxford/Newbury/Moseley areas.

Supporting the EHS Office Manager and the business by continually educating everyone on EHS issues.

Ensuring you stay within UK law and Siemens UK Industry sector Initiatives.
Be aware of UK Policies supporting employees and management, and be willing to offer help and advice where needed in making sure these best suit the business needs. Offering assistance to all employees on EHS matters.

EHS Function

· Liaison with SISW Management in place of EHS Manager when not available.
· Cover EHS Manager as needed during holidays and sickness as required.
· Cover as needed for holidays and sickness for other UK based EHS Advisor roles.
· Have a good understanding of HSE and local authority rights to enter our premises.
· Manage and keep updated all information contained within your areas EHS Training Matrix.
· Hold all records pertaining to the matrix in strict confidence.
· Meet Half Yearly with the EHS Manager to ensure we are aligning across areas in all Practices and policies.
· Record monthly all Accident and Near miss data, collating for EHS Manager by 5th of each month.
· Work with Line Managers to ensure they have all relevant EHS information for their teams.
· Manage UK Drivers within your offices ensuring all are “E Driving” registered. ( E Driving Was formerly IDS )
· Maintain/ Liaise with HR on all Occupational Health needs required by employees as a result of DSE risk assessments.
· Place requests on External OH provider for employees within your offices.
· Maintain records on all Purchase Orders raised for EHS/OH purposes.
· Ensure you have required numbers of EHS trained representatives within all your offices.
· Follow up on all EHS Inductions within your area.
· Attend Qrt. Compliance Meetings with SRE Managing Agent.
· Any other duties that could later evolve to become part of this role.

Experience :

· Two years’ experience in similar role.
· Detailed knowledge of relevant UK legislation.
· Experience in working at all levels within a company
· Organised and methodical approach to your working practices.

Training Essential:

· IOSH Managing Safely H&S standard, or equivalent experience in similar role.
· Proficient in MS Office Applications.
· Environmental qualifications an asset but not essential.

Additional Requirements :

· Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required.
· Full UK Driving License required
