Education and Talent Work-Integrated Learning Program (5-month term starting in May 2024)
Siemens Canada is looking to bring highly qualified and enthusiastic personnel on board through the five-month Siemens Certified Education and Talent Academy (SCETA) term. This unique opportunity lets you experience the German Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program in Canada. This German WIL approach is respected globally for bringing highly effective employees into Siemens and is at the heart of German industrial strength.
This SCETA WIL term is designed to accelerate your skills so you will have an immediate professional impact. You will be immersed in both specific training events and practical experience with multiple Siemens business units. As part of Siemens Canada, you will contribute to projects that address the most critical challenges of our human history, including climate change.
The objective of this SCETA term is to have you join a Siemens unit at the end of the five-month term should everything align, opening the door to all Siemens Canada. Furthermore, once established, the global career network of Siemens (present in 190 countries) is available to you. During this five-month term, you will also be paid a monthly stipend while you are trained.
Some of the available roles:
- Service and construction field technician (hands-on field work)
- Installation specialist (hands-on field work)
- Project management (planning, coordinating, and finance)
- Project design and quotation (collaborating with consulting firms)
- Customer support technician (addressing direct customer issues)
- Technical writing/Technical Communication
- Sales/Customer facing
This SCETA program is directed at universities and college programs, including:
- Technician
- HVAC
- Security System
- Fire Protection System
- IoT
- e-Mobility
- Electrical/Electronics technologies
- Instrumentation technologies
- Electrical Engineering

NOTES:
- Duration: May 01, 2024, to Sept 27, 2024
- One-month SCETA on-line orientation in May. Learn about all things Siemens and business acumen training.
- Four months with a business unit for training and practical experience, either online or onsite (role dependent)
What will you need to succeed?
- You need to have completed classes by April 2024 and be available to work the summer.
- Summer co-ops are accepted but not required (graduate either April 2023 or September 2023)
- 3.0 overall GPA
- Willing to relocate and travel across Canada as required by program
- Legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application
