What will you do?

Geared towards technical and professional students, SCETA is a Dual Education program combining theory and practice in a work integrated learning program (WILP). It offers students a wide array of technical, interpersonal, and business acumen training and places them in roles within a variety of industry units within Siemens Canada.

SCETA students join us as Siemens employees and will complete two summer work terms starting this May, and then another the following May after they finish their education. Successful candidates will be paid a total stipend of $25,500 distributed in equal bi-weekly payments for 17 months while they complete their tenure with SCETA and will qualify for partial tuition reimbursement for their last school year. Furthermore, proficient students may be hired on full-time with Siemens once their SCETA terms are complete.

Who Should Apply?

Ideal candidates for the SCETA Dual Education Program meet the following requirements:

  • Graduating in April/May 2025
  • Students entering their final year of studies *THIS REQUIREMENT MUST BE FULLFIELD*
  • Cumulative GPA: 3.0+
  • Commitment to work: May - August 2024 & May - September 2025
  • Willing to relocate and travel across Canada as required by program.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application
  • Commitment to two years of full-time employment with Siemens in Canada post graduation if offered.

The SCETA orientation for summer 2024 will be delivered through a 100% online format. Students will be provided with resources they need to complete their work remotely, including work laptops and cell phones if necessary.
Students may or may not need to relocate/be mobile during the summer of 2024. Siemens sites are in Western Canada, Alberta, and Southern Ontario as examples. This can be further discussed during the recruitment process.

  • Students are paid a bi-weekly stipend over the duration of their 17-month engagement with us. (May 2024-September 2025)
  • Start date of this year: May 01, 2024
  • End date of this year: August 23, 2024
  • Regular working hours are set by the hiring business unit.
  • Students MUST be committed to working for Siemens two years following September of 2025
  • Students MUST be willing to work for Siemens both consecutive summers.
