The aim of the Document Controller is to provide project document management ensuring compliance during project execution and delivery. It must be ensured that documents are up-to-date, reproducible, version/revision-controlled and quality-assured throughout their entire life cycle in accordance with organizational, procedural and legal requirements and that project documentation is processed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Setting up the project environment in the EDMS (authority of responsibility, folder structure, roles and rights, storage/classification criteria) in cooperation with the SME and PM
- Creating and maintaining the project-specific document management plan (DM plan)
- Coordinating the document list (includes customer documents and internal project documents) with the Project Manager, the core team and, where applicable, the customer
- Creating and maintaining the document list
- Supporting the controlling of document creation on schedule in cooperation with the scheduler
- Clarification of interfaces and customer requirements regarding document management
- Management and distribution of all controlled documents and all formal correspondence ensuring consistency and traceability for all parties.
- Ensures correct versioning and revisioning by suitable methods including assignment of document numbers (placeholders) for all project deliverables externally and internally.

- Demonstrated experience in document management systems, related methodologies, strategies and systems or experience in related field.
- Strong working knowledge of a range of EDM and Engineering Management systems Aconex, TeamBinder, Documentum, SAP PLM, Clearcase, Sharepoint etc.
- Understanding of project phases and life cycles, technical and engineering terminology with clear understanding of document life-cycles within the context of project phases
- Administration and SME expertise in Aconex & Sharepoint is most desirable
