Then come and join our global team as we are looking for a mechanical design engineer familiar with, and capable of, implementing advanced digital design methods, to produce, and analyse, structural components for superconducting magnets.
 
Tasks and responsibilities:
Ability to combine an underlying understanding of structural engineering with finite element capability to produce designs capable of meeting highly technical requirements, and suitable for volume manufacture.
Able to learn and adapt analysis to unfamiliar conditions such as those found in high field superconducting magnets.
Qualified in Mechanical engineering, with a good appreciation of structural mechanics
Able to produce geometric models, and manufacturing drawings to accepted quality standards.
 
Skills & Experience:
Familiarity with, and experience of, Product Manufacturing Information.
Use of parametric design methods
Use of generative design methods such as topology optimisation.
Dynamic modal analysis
Experience with large design structures
Experience of design for volume manufacture
