What do you contribute?

  • In your new job, you will play a key role in the development of innovative air conditioning systems for rail vehicles, creating future-proof air conditioning concepts taking into account the mechanical, electrical and software interfaces.
  • You will carefully analyse customer tenders and adequately translate them into specifications for project-related procurement, taking into account existing platform developments.
  • You apply calculation and simulation software for the design and optimisation of air conditioning systems and create specifications as well as milestone plans to keep the development process running smoothly.
  • With your expertise, you actively participate in the supplier selection process and initiate and implement design-to-cost measures.
  • You monitor and support the supplier throughout the entire development process and coordinate design interfaces in the vehicle with other design departments.
  • Your activities also include checking drawings and parts lists as well as accompanying component and system tests at the supplier. You also organise and accompany tests on the vehicle.
 

What do you bring along?

  • You have completed your master's degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle construction or industrial engineering.
  • In addition, you have professional experience in the field of air conditioning technology (preferably in the air conditioning of rail vehicles) or in another field of rail vehicle technology.
  • You have theoretical knowledge in the field of thermodynamics. Expert knowledge of refrigeration circuits and their components is a plus.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with rail vehicle air conditioning and the associated standards and regulations. If this is not the case, we will be happy to teach you these topics as part of a comprehensive induction programme.
  • You also score points with basic knowledge of design (ideally Creo Elemets) and have experience in the use of common MS Office applications as well as SAP.
  • If you have a very good command of written and spoken English, and ideally a good command of German, we look forward to receiving your application.
