Job Description

Mission
The DWE Site Engineer is responsible to manage the workers installing the depot workshop equipment according to the design and installation documentation; sometimes supported by subject matter expert delegated from the equipment supplier

What are my responsibilities?
Main tasks:

·  Supervising, controlling and monitoring the installation of all the depot workshop equipment on site for East, South and North Depot, keeping safety
·  Direct supervision and management of the workers performing the equipment installation at site Other related tasks:

·  Random check of design basis data of transit system subsystems and supplier's shop drawings, installation design, form-work design and reinforcement design
·  Responsible to verify achievement of access conditions before start of installation and take over from civil work partner or any related subsystem
·  Responsible to verify achievement of installation and undertake the installation acceptance tests with the final client
·  Responsible for clearing the punch list items
·  Support the T&C activities after installation acceptance
·  Participation at required Site Management / Installation meetings, and escalate in time, if required
·  Ensure adherence to all Siemens/BACS policies and procedures; always putting health and safety at the foremost of everyone's actions and thoughts
·  Reporting to PM and Delivery manager
What do I need to qualify for this job

·  Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or higher level in these study fields
·  2-5 years experience as Site Manager or Supervisor in a similar scale depot equipment projects
·  Validated experience in depot equipment installation management
·  Speak, read and write in English (Arabic and/or Hindi languages additionally would be a plus)
·  Intercultural working experience in the Middle East region recommended
·  Leadership, initiative and decision minded
·  Experience in managing staff
·  Software skills for AutoCAD and office applications
