What You’ll Be Doing:
Supplyframe, recently acquired by Siemens, is currently recruiting students to kick off our Summer 2024 Internship Program.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Analytics Engineer Intern with a strong background in web analytics to join our dynamic team. This individual will have the opportunity to utilize various analytical tools and techniques to extract actionable insights from web data, helping us optimize our online presence and drive informed business decisions. They’ll also gain a deep understanding of SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau and utilize Python & Spark in a distributed environment.

Design, implement, and improve data collection strategies to capture web analytics.
Research, design, and implement machine learning classifiers to enhance data analysis capabilities. Explore and analyze raw data to identify potential features that could improve the performance of classifiers.
Create new features by applying mathematical transformations, aggregations, and domain-specific knowledge. Collaborate with data engineers to ensure the efficient integration of new features into the data processing pipeline.
Write complex SQL queries to manipulate and analyze large datasets, uncovering insights that drive actionable recommendations.
Utilize Python/Spark to gather and organize valuable insights from raw web data.
Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar tools, presenting data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Perform ad-hoc analyses to address specific business challenges and provide timely insights to support decision-making.
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure data accuracy, troubleshoot data-related issues, and optimize data collection processes.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in web analytics, contributing to the continuous improvement of data practices within the organization.
Who/What We Are Looking For:
Actively enrolled as a university student and in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline. Master's degree candidate is a plus.
Experience with:
Web analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.
Data engineering, ETL processes, or data warehousing is a plus.
Proficiency in:
SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Python/Scala for data manipulation, analysis, and scripting.
Familiarity with:
Data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Machine learning concepts is advantageous but not required.
Solid understanding of statistical concepts and their application to data analysis.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
The hourly range for this position is $43.27 to $48.08. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
