Job description
We are recruiting for a Customer Service Engineer to join our team based in Congleton, supporting our DF CS MC General Motion Control (GMC) business within Siemens. Our role is to support our customers and evolve a global network of CS departments.

This growth is being further supported by the development of exciting digitalised offerings. This is an exciting role which will require flexibility totravel overseasas required.
We are looking for a well organised, self-motivated, flexible Engineer, experienced with variable
speed drive applications, who enjoys challenging situations and will support us in making GMC
Global Service a key reason for buying our products.
What would my responsibilities be?
• Technically Support global customers for the GMC product portfolio
• Developing and training the GMC support network globally
• Project management of large scale customer issues, (HQ escalation management)
• Be the voice of the customer in the development and improvement of our products
What skills and behaviours would be of benefit for this role?
• Willing to go the extra mile for our customers
• Higher Education in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Product and Application experience with variable speed drives and systems
• Large project planning and installation experience
• Servo and robotics experience
• Flexibility for short notice national/international travel
• Knowledge and experience of PLC’s and communication protocols used in Industry
• Passion for learning about new technology
• German or other second language would be advantageous
· Full Driving Licence and valid Passport are a requirement for the role
