Your responsibilities. 

As Credit Analyst (f/m/d) in the Risk Rating department EMEA/Asia Australia you prepare credit analysis and assign risk ratings for borrowers of SFS’ commercial finance (mid-market) and corporate lending business and engage in the further development of rating methods, credit data banks and the digitalization of rating processes. Your tasks will include:
  • Evaluating the creditworthiness of corporates and public entities as well as borrowers of leveraged finance loans in a broad range of industries in Europe, Asia, and Australia
  • Analyzing borrower’s financial statements and cash flow projections and prepare and sensitize internally prepared cash flow models
  • Collaborating as member of a deal team incorporating Rating, Risk Management and Origination
  • Assigning an obligor rating within the given Rating Authority or present the analysis to the next higher rating authority holder, the Rating Committee and the Siemens Bank Credit Committee
  • Monitoring the creditworthiness of portfolio counterparties and initiate rating actions as deemed necessary
  • Ensuring constant knowledge exchange with Risk Rating Americas as well as Risk Management in the Business Units
  • Supporting in refining existing rating methodologies and in developing new rating methodologies if required from the business
  • Exploring opportunities within Risk Rating to digitalize parts of the analytical process and to use artificial intelligence solutions

Your toolkit for success.
  • Showcase educational excellence with a relevant degree in economics/business administration or a comparable field of studies 
  • Bring at least 2 years of professional experience in financial analysis at a bank or comparable employer 
  • Alternatively, you have completed an apprenticeship in combination with long-term work experience
  • Professional knowledge in corporate finance and macro economics would be encouraging
  • If you bring first experience in working with financial models as well as professional analytical capabilities (financial statement analysis) we would be happy
  • We want to get to know you if you possess the ability to convey analytical conclusions in a well-structured manner in a rating report and possess a confident appearance presenting rating analysis to Authority Holders 
  • Excel as a collaborative team member and thrive in fast-paced environments, all the while maintaining a positive mentality characterize your way of working 
  • Proficient German and English language skills, knowledge of other languages is a plus
