Location : Zoeterwoude
Employment: fulltime / part-time (min 70 %)
Siemens Gas and Power Holding B.V. (of Siemens Energy) is currently looking for a qualified Dutch corporate lawyer, preferably with experience in finance and with an enthusiasm to work internationally across borders. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in technology/(renewable) energy. We also invite junior associates (advocaat-stagaires) who have already started their career to apply. Likewise, we invite experienced candidates to apply – considering that the requirements are at a junior to medium professional job level. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with other colleagues in the local and global Legal departments to share knowledge and collaborate on cross-cutting issues.

About Siemens Energy Legal and Compliance
Legal and Compliance supports the operating business and the company’s corporate functions in all aspects of legal and compliance relevant topics. The global Legal and Compliance team consists of ~550 professionals globally. Its members act as business partners of the Siemens management and supports them in achieving the business targets, the development and implementation of legal strategies.
What are your responsibilities?

Assisting in various corporate transactions and advises on the accompanying (re)structuring, governance and regulatory issues

Advising on corporate law and mergers and acquisitions
·
Advising on a wide variation of commercial contracts
·
You ensure effective legal risk management by addressing legal risks and opportunities, applying a legal and commercial perspective and exploiting the opportunities the law provides
·
You engage and collaborate with your colleagues and build credibility and trust
·
Improving the awareness of legal issues affecting the business by providing training and advising on process and systems improvements to enable better risk management
·
You embed and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and relevant legislation and regulations
What do you need to be considered for this post?

A bachelor or master’s degree in Dutch law with an excellent academic record
·
Experience with M&A, corporate law and company secretary duties
·
Experience with international business and restructuring projects
·
Experience with financial law and/or public procurement law would be an advantage
·
Fluent in English and Dutch at a professional working standard including translating legal documents, other language skills would be viewed as an advantage
·
Strong intercultural and communication skills support your ability to explain legal matters and compliment your drafting skills
·
Able to work collaboratively and cooperatively within the global Siemens team
·
Flexible and pragmatic approach, and able to handle a range of issues at any one time
·
Able to work independently and in an open and inclusive manner
