Job description

Do you want to push the boundaries of innovation and technology in transportation?

We invite you to join our "Train Control" department, where we breathe life into our vehicles by designing control functions in both software and hardware. We are interested in every aspect of operation to ensure that our vehicles function excellently as a whole. We are looking for solutions to achieve the lowest possible energy consumption by combining various approaches to energy management on board the train.

You are going to be a part of our international team, which guides you at first through the whole process of SW system testing, which is related to various control units of our locomotives, regional and high-speed trains. We will provide thorough know-how training and support you with adapting to your new role at our company.

HiL (hardware in the loop) is a tool we use for system testing, that simulates real conditions and circumstances during vehicle operation. Due to the time advantage gained, we can replicate complicated systems and scenarios much quicker, it would be possible by real-life testing in the vehicle only. Automatic tests are based on the usage of Python libraries, and the tests themselves are written in Behave. We also work in the Eclipse development environment.

Main responsibilities:

  • Design and test administration of control units testing
  • Optimization of testing processes alongside related documentation
  • Testing in the laboratory (HiL stands)
  • Analysis of the results and their subsequent reporting
  • Close cooperation with colleagues from SW development in our global teams

Key qualifications:

  • Higher education in electrical engineering or a related area
  • Experience with system software testing
  • Understanding of SW codes and electrical diagrams
  • English or German for daily communication, fluency in Czech
  • Team spirit and good communication skills

What you get by joining us, among other things:

  • The possibility to co-design the most up-to-date rail vehicles for the whole world – our work is not created to be hidden away
  • Open opportunities in expert and management career growth
  • A joining bonus of CZK 50,000
  • Up to 33 days of paid leave
  • Organize your working hours to suit you (you should always be at your desk between 10 am and 2 pm)
  • The possibility to work from home for a better work-life balance
  • A company kindergarten near the workplace (in Prague and Ostrava)
  • A personal annual budget of CZK 24,000 or 48,000 (depending on seniority), which can be used for various leisure activities in our cafeteria
