What will you do?
This is a full-time permanent role which is based out of our Oakville head office. This individual will coordinate with project stakeholders and assist in contract review, negotiation, feedback collection, and issue resolution. They will also maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, management, and other internal stakeholders to ensure contract compliance and quality standards are met.
- Carefully review a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to customer contracts and master service agreements, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company policies.
- Analyze contract terms and conditions to identify potential commercial and business risks, making recommendations to mitigate such risks while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure that contracts adhere to legal requirements, industry regulations, and internal guidelines, advising stakeholders on necessary modifications to achieve compliance.
- Support Sales personnel in customer-facing contract negotiation activities. Interface with Legal, Sales, and Management to resolve contract review actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including procurement, sales, and project management teams, to provide legal insights during contract negotiations, helping to reach favorable terms and protect the company's interests.
- Other related duties as required.
What will you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or similar fields. Equivalent experience may also be considered.
- 3-5 years’ experience of related contracts experience
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions.
- Exercises independent judgment and operates with limited minimal direction from management, requesting support when required.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and can be relied upon to meet deadlines.
- Intermediate/Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Creative thinker with a unique ability for resourcefulness. Growth mindset with a passion for learning.
- Virtual and in-person team working and collaboration skills are indispensable.
- Flexible and self-motivated with a pro-active workstyle and the ability to work independently.
- An energetic individual willing to contribute and learn.
- Asset: Bilingual English/French verbal and written communication skills.
